Will and Brooke’s June Wedding
Tell us the story of how you met.
Will and I met playing volleyball 8 years ago and then lost touch. 5 years went by and he popped up on Bumble. We started chatting and went on a few dates. I wasn't feeling a connection at the time and we lost touch again. He says he always knew I was the one, but I was stubborn and took more time. Will stayed persistent and pursued me in the sweetest ways. I gave it another chance and was overcome by a slow burning love that snuck up on me fast. Now I could never imagine life without him. He is my person in every way. And I love him for breaking through this stubborn girl’s mind!
Tell us about the proposal.
I am never surprised by anything, so I gave him the challenge to pull off a surprise. He told me we were going to a family reunion. When we pulled up to the park with a beautiful overlook of the Susquehanna River, I thought “Wow what a nice place for a family reunion!” As we started walking I noticed flowers and pictures and it clicked. Instant tears! He had to drag me to the spot because I couldn't see from crying. He said beautiful words which I did not hear because I blacked out, and I said yes! He had a photographer hidden and both of our families there. We celebrated at a brewery after, and then joined the actual family reunion where he was able to introduce me as his fiancée.
